I have worked as a Patient Service Specialist/Prior Authorization Specialist for 9 years. Our physician group has expanded from 23 to 43 cardiologists during my tenure in this position. I am also responsible for training for this position as well.

I effectively communicate changes or trends in insurance policies to all 18 offices in our group. I obtain cardiac procedure and testing prior authorizations for all of our physicians in 6 different hospitals within a designated time frame. Contact with both physicians and nurses at insurance companies to give clinical information over the phone to speed up the authorization process. Trained in Epic System and Microsoft Office.
