  • Triaged incoming blood donor units, which included weighing units, barcode unit into computer system for inventory and centrifuged units.
  • Manufactured units which included adding Adsol additive to red cells and leuko-reduced units and extracted plasma from red cells.
  • Daily inoculations of platelets for aerobic and anaerobic incubation under aseptic technique. Followed by platelet splits which included weighing platelets, acquiring a platelet yield based on specific gravity, and ran white blood cell counts on platelets.
