As a responsible and motivated post-baccalaureate student, I’m eager to apply my education in the workplace and gain relevant work experience in the field of Animal Science. With effective communication skills and a strong work ethic, I’m ready to bring enthusiasm and a positive attitude to any team.
I own and manage Alpine Groves in Monroe, Oregon. My responsibilities include tending to a chestnut orchard, maintaining a timber stand, operating farm equipment, and caring for various animals.
I analyze sales data to forecast needs, monitor inventory levels, develop budgets, and write and revise orders to replenish stock. Additionally, I source new vendors to increase product offerings, and I regularly communicate with vendors to manage orders and resolve invoicing discrepancies. I also attend tradeshows to stay informed about new products and market trends. Furthermore, industry events allow me to develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, in turn improving lead time and cost.
I conducted timber cruises using variable plot, fixed radius, and strip methods to assess merchantable timber volume and quality. Additionally, I utilized GIS software to create maps for timber cruise projects, harvest, and stream buffer layouts. My responsibilities included recording, compiling, and checking field data. Furthermore, I collaborated with landowners and contract crews on herbicide spraying, tree planting, and seedling inventory tracking for reforestation efforts.
As the ASAP buyer, I analyzed reports, created purchase orders based on sales data, and worked with vendors to ship in a timely manner. I managed backorders and assisted the soft-goods buyer with preseason orders. As customer service manager, I oversaw staff training and performance. I also solved order management issues and made policy decisions. Moreover, I provided support to customers and staff, managed returns, assisted with hiring, and implemented disciplinary action as needed.
As a substitute teacher, I followed lesson plans, maintained a safe and positive classroom environment, and taught various subjects to elementary, middle, and high school students.
