Morning prep

• Arriving early to set up the operatory, review the schedule, check in cases for the day, and ensure everything is ready for the day's appointments.

Patient care and procedures

• Greeting and seating patients prior to the doctor's arrival.
• Take panoramic and cephalometric X-rays, intraoral and facial profile photos.
• Change out orthodontic wires and ligations as prescribed by the doctor.
• Bonding brackets and/or starting braces, or Invisalign treatments.
• Cement fixed appliances, i.e., palatal expanders, assist with aligning impacted teeth post-surgical exposure, as prescribed by the surgeon and orthodontist.

Lab and office tasks

• Enter and submit any Invisalign or Vivera retainer cases, as prescribed by the doctor.
• Restock any necessary items.

End of Day

• Clean and disinfect all chairs, counters, and equipment.
• Restock and prepare for the next day.
• Shut down all appliances.
