Accomplishments

-I have taken 11 different courses of continuing education through Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehab Institute to train as a PFPT.

-I have been a TA for the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehab Institute for 11 Courses helping other Therapists train.

-I have taken four students for clinicals in a combination of PFPT/Orthopedic setting.

-I have been a certified Group Fitness Instructor for 33yrs. I have been trained and certified in Barre, Pilates, Kickboxing, strength based classes, Senior Fitness, Aqua fitness, Yoga, HIIT, Cycle Fitness and Pedaling for Parkinsons. This education and knowledge gives me a unique perspective in helping patients with their health and fitness goals within the Physical Therapy world.

-I was responsible for implementing glider discs at all of our outpatient clinics as well as creating the inservice for training all Out-patient therapists at the time.

-I am STAR certified and trained in Preoperative evaluation of Mastectomy patients.

-I have given numerous presentations about Pelvic floor to community and education organizations such as Hope college, Western college, MOPS groups, and Healthier communities.

-I have given several inservices to fellow Pelvic Floor therapists on a variety of subjects post course attendance.

-I have given inservices to other Professionals within Corewell system including Physicians that treat Cystic Fibrosis and creating a questionnaire and helpful treatment tool for therapists working with the pediatric Cystic Fibrosis population. This aided helping treat Stress incontinence in this population.

-I have taken numerous Orthopedic continuing education course over the years including all four MDT courses (List of continuing education can be provided).
