Summary

I am an elementary education professional with 22 years experience. The majority of my experience is teaching kindergarten; however, I have taught second grade as well. I am responsible for core instruction in all content areas. I conduct small groups daily in reading, math, and intervention blocks. I am proficient in using Heggerty and UFLI to teach my students early reading skills. I have completed LETRS training and implement best practices daily. Accurate data and records are kept and updated frequently to help guide my instruction. In my classroom, I foster a positive and engaging working environment to help my students grow academically and socially daily. I am self-motivated to apply my classroom experience from Currituck County to the potential opportunity of teaching for Chesapeake City Public Schools.
