* Open all criminal/civil cases and investigative Operations
* Purge and organize criminal files for closing
* Process and close cases once trials are complete
* Review criminal files by using case management database CaseView, online
court website CM/ECF and PACER, for accurate input in internal
case management databases and review of all information
* Analyze and evaluate case files against deadlines for filing pleadings
* Maintain a database of all assigned active and closed cases,
investigations and Operations
* Maintain attorney calendar which includes keeping track of electronic court filings, hearings, court dates and trial dates
* Review and/or screen all incoming investigative evidence and discovery
materials from outside agencies while building a working rapport with
case agents and officers in an independent and professional manner
* Establish, verify, and maintain case files within various internal technological
case tracking systems
* Verify citations and legal references by navigating the online legal
research database Westlaw and electronic information collection
database Lexis-Nexis, ensuring that they are correct and in complete
compliance with law
* Work and support the attorneys in more complicated cases, by composing
and drafting legal documents including memorandum of law,
complaints, discovery, indictments, and briefs, many of which can be
voluminous and complex in format
*Perform research on business information and public record through the use
of public information technology, the internet, technological applications
and/or numerous other methods and techniques necessary to determine
and resolve factual and legal issues presented
* Receive, analyze, process, and prepare discovery for investigative and
trial purposes and obtain any/all missing and/or required information
from investigative agencies
*Assist the attorneys with all trial and discovery needs, exhibit presentations,
digital media reproductions and any issues arising with the use and
presentation of evidence, witness and agent testimony, transcription
* Facilitate the receipt and organization of discovery and investigatory
evidence with the use of litigative technology applications such as Eclipse,
Trial Director and Beyond Compare
