I am a life-long learner and adapter who teaches English and Language Arts at Crookston High School. I am adept at curriculum development and fostering communication with students and parents. I successfully elevate student engagement and writing proficiency through tailored instruction and individualized, constructive feedback, empowering learners to take charge of their education in a diverse classroom environment. My time teaching an online during the pandemic and at UMC helped me hone my online teaching skills.
* I instructed students in grades 9-12 in an alternative learning environment, tailoring curriculum and content to suit student ability, interest, and background.
* I led classes of freshman English students who were at a very crucial and delicate point of their education, continuing to diversify student content while also managing their anxieties, concerns, and behaviors.
* I taught Advanced Placement and College in the High School courses, elevating the rigor and expectations of students through instruction and assignments that allowed for students to take an extremely active role their own learning.
* I improved student writing through detailed feedback and an approach that allows students to adapt and grow through the correction of their mistakes.
