I have been an assistant Special Olympics Coach as needed for over 16 years. Starting when my brother was just 10. I have stayed with most the same kids and adults the entire time. Over seeing practices to assisting with getting athletes on the felid to compete. Settling differences and problems among the team. I kept records for the team to be sent to the state so they are placed in the correct group for competition. I learned more patients there than anywhere and I learned a lot of problem solving skills that I still apply to daily needs. I am very proud of this time. It is one of the best things I have had the privilege to do.
