Focused on use of community resources to help find volunteers to be part of CASA organization. I interviewed prospective volunteers, then assisted in training them on minimum performance standards and policies. Encouraged and managed the volunteers, looking for ways to continue to train and offer education. Was in charge of monthly reports, and funding reports to State CASA office. Was a part of the team that achieved 98% on our CASA State Audit for 2018. Collected data/assisted in writing detailed quarterly strategic plan for our state office. Worked closely with First things First and other organizations in the community. I helped manage and grow our volunteer program from 28 volunteers to 55 volunteers. We were given Department of the Year in 2018.
I worked as an independent contractor for the State of California, acting as Supervising Rehab Manager over an 200 bed Veterans facility. I worked along side acting Director of facility to oversee and create the best activities department. I helped Director oversee the day to day operations of 3 activity departments in handling in service training, program activities, calendar development, and community outreach and volunteers. Managed 4 activity therapists. Serving the Veterans of this home was a great honor.
