  • Responsible for the creation and implementation of a strategic national marketing plans surrounding seasons two through six of the celebrated children's series Curious George. Charged with managing the relationship between WGBH National Marketing, NBC Universal, and publisher Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. Sought out innovative new promotional strategies incorporating social media tactics reaching existing audiences while also establishing relationships among new demographics specifically within the Hispanic community. Awarded increased funding for WGBH National Marketing (from NBC Universal) totaling over $200,000 within one year.
  • ARTHUR/ALL KIDS CAN CHARACTER SEARCH (Cause Marketing Success Story)
  • Led all promotional efforts on behalf of WGBH surrounding the "Arthur/All Kids Can Character Search," a campaign based on a partnership between CVS Caremark and the WGBH children's series, Arthur. Worked closely with WGBH National Sponsorship, CVS Caremark, and CVS's public relations agency, Weber Shandwick to garner multimedia visibility and secure positive brand awareness. The campaign was honored with several awards including the "Boston Business Journal Corporate Citizen Award Innovation Partner of the Year 2009," the "PBS Development Award for Inspiration 2009," and the "PR News Nonprofit PR Awards: Corporate Social Responsibility Campaign Award 2009 (finalist)."

  • Responsible for the launch/ongoing promotion surrounding the food and travel series Gourmet's Diary of a Foodie, in partnership with Condé Nast's renowned food magazine. Secured extensive national and local press coverage including placement in TIME magazine as one of fall 2006's "Five TV Food Shows to Sink Your Teeth Into."
  • THE "MEET THIS OLD HOUSE" TOURS (Event, Talent, and Press Management for a High-Profile Corporate Client)
  • Managed all press for the first two national "Meet This Old House" tours (August 2004-November 2004; August 2005-October 2005), including twelve cross-country events featuring PBS's famed how-to series This Old House. Directly reported to This Old House Ventures, Inc., a subsidiary of Time Warner, creating and implementing all press/promotion surrounding both tours. Traveled with the crew/talent, securing pre, post, and day of event print, broadcast, and online press coverage surrounding all tour events in twelve US markets. Met and exceeded all client goals and expectations for both tours, garnering a combined 160 plus print stories reaching a total print circulation of over 27 million audience impressions.

  • Contracted as a freelance television publicist for the Food Network's The Next Iron Chef. Worked closely with the Bullfrog and Baum and Food Network teams to discuss and implement strategy and relay results.

  • SELECT ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
  • Managed press for former US Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton's only Boston book signing to promote her novel, Living History. Worked directly with the Senator's press secretary to strategize and implement a plan for the signing that would serve the interests of the media, the public and the Senator.
  • Managed press for four sequential years for the national Simmons School of Management Leadership Conference at the World Trade Center, Boston. Coordinated interviews and press conferences with speakers including Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, Enron Whistleblower Sherron Watkins, Oprah Winfrey, Katie Couric, former US Attorney General Janet Reno, and the late former Prime Minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto. Worked with 8 to 10 television camera crews simultaneously. Coordinated multiple photographers and radio feeds.
  • Developed a first annual charity event, "From Fenway to the Runway," hosted by the Boston Red Sox Wives at The Heritage On The Garden, an upscale shopping and dining destination in Boston's Back Bay to benefit the Gillette Center for Women's Cancers at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Managed all event elements from conception, to run-of-show, to on-site event management, to pitching and securing press coverage.
  • Coordinated on-site press/television camera crews at the Creative Coalition party held at Louis Boston during the 2004 Democratic National Convention. Worked with party organizers to maximize press coverage while administering to strict security guidelines.
