  • I also did check in when needed and collected co-pays and or balances
  • I scaned patients insurance cards, hippa forms, consent forms all medical documents that need to go into the patient's charts
  • Upon check out I would schedule patients lab appointments and the follow up with the physician

  • I worked in the front office scheduling our Care Givers to clients based on the needs of the clients and the hours needed to be seen
  • I was then move to assist with one of the nurses at one of the Rehabs to talk with patients and their families on any needs they need at home that our company could assist with
  • I would sit down one on one and talk to them about My Brother's Keeper and what we provide and how it could benefit them
  • I also would help answer any financial question they may have

  • I made spreadsheets of all of the practices patients the were lacking follow up appointments either lack of Hospital follow ups or if they haven't been seen in a long time
  • I would call different patients and families each and everyday to get them back on the schedule to be seen
  • I would make calls to confirm their new upcoming appointments
  • I'd also make calls to some of the patients that didn't have the necessary access to come pick up their prescriptions and off them our free delivery right to their home
  • I met with some of the doctors in the group to go over any obstacles that they might come across that I could assist with

  • I answered multiple phone lines coming in to the ER
  • I also made several outgoing consult calls to other Physicians for the ER doctors
  • I put together all medical records from the patients paper charts and EMR to send patients to other trauma hospitals
  • I set up either Air transport or EMS
  • I put in orders from the physicians to admit patients up to center floors
  • I completed paperwork for discharges from the ER either back home or back to the rehab the may have come from
  • I also put in any and all dietary needs for patients from the cafeteria if needed

  • Worked side by side with the ER doctors on what they needed done

  • I worked side by side with Case Mangers on a daily basis
  • They would inform me of patients that were being discharged to either a Rehab facility, home with Home Health, or to be transferred to another hospital
  • I spoke with patients and their families about their choices based on their insurance
  • I would have them sign a Hippa form allowing me to send their documents to their choice facility
  • I called the insurance companies to get authorization's for the different facilities approved
  • I would then send all of the medical records to their choice facilities
  • I also arranged EMS transport to other hospitals
  • I set up any DME equipment needed for the patient to go home with
