Jennifer E. Turner, Ed.D.

• Support the Superintendent in all aspects of leading a district comprising over 600 staff and nearly 4,000 students
• Facilitate the creation and implementation of a 5-year district strategic plan
• Collaborate with district and building leaders to ensure that instruction and assessment aligns with the district strategic plan objectives
• Supervise and evaluate content area directors and EL teaching staff

• Oversee the selection, implementation and assessment of High Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM) at all grade levels and district and local assessments including MCAS, ACCESS, DIBELS, iReady diagnostics, Kindergarten and WIDA EL screenings
• Analyze data and implement action steps to reduce disproportionality gaps and increase student achievement
• Collaborate on the creation of student support programs including Title I intervention, after school tutoring and summer programming
• Lead all curriculum program review processes and curriculum adoptions ensuring equity, inclusion, and PreK-12 alignment
• Develop, oversee, and assess all ongoing professional learning development opportunities including new teacher and administrator orientation and mentoring
• Develop strategic university partnerships including leadership development programming and job alike supports
• Engage with DESE to ensure understanding of and compliance with state and federal mandates
• Manage myriad software platforms including Clever, Ellevation, Aspen, ArxEd, Litix Systems, Vector, Schoolspring, Munis, iReady, Amplify, and Savvas
• Present regularly to school committee regarding student data, committee updates, and new policies and procedures
• Maintain consistent and effective communication with various stakeholders including district leaders, staff, students, parents, and the community
• Chair, co-chair and participate in district level committees and initiatives including the Literacy Task Force, DEI Committee, Curriculum Committee, Professional Development Committee, Technology Committee, the SEEM Curriculum Council, and the Merrimack Valley Curriculum Leaders Exchange

• Served as the instructional leader of a vibrant middle school comprising over 920 diverse students and approximately 175 staff
• Turned-around a negative school culture through communication, collaboration, and building trusting relationships with staff and the community
• Led through the pandemic which involved the creation and implementation of a virtual school followed by a hybrid model
• Led through an extensive building construction project
• Mentored new administrators and teachers
• Communicated with teachers regarding assessments, data, and instructional practices through the evaluation process and the development of teacher IPDP's (Individual Professional Development Plans) to ensure DESE licensure compliance
• Created and implemented a Project Based Learning Academy, a PBIS initiative - DRUM (Diversity, Responsibility, Unity and Mindfulness), and a standards based reporting system
• Diversified hiring practices through the analysis and modification of existing hiring protocols
• Created building based professional learning opportunities
• Met weekly with building based union representation to establish common goals and address labor and coworker relations issues
• Managed a building based operating budget and collaborated with district leadership on individual department based budgets and allocations
• Managed myriad software platforms including Aspen, Talent Ed, Schoolspring, Munis, and Otus
• Annually wrote, implemented and monitored an achievement based school improvement plan
• Supported building-based special education programs, including district-wide programming
• Collected and analyzed data to assist in closing opportunity and achievement gaps
