  • I was able to be a part of several new developments over the years, including the building of what now is a free-standing Children's Hospital (formerly within Butterworth), as well as our addition of a Pediatric Burn Program and most recently the launch of a new Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. The patient population I worked with diversified over the years, and also included Pediatric Neurosurgery, a growing Behavioral population and the long-standing Pediatric Nephrology program.

  • The team of health screeners would arrive to area locations, businesses, stores, wherever the event had been scheduled, and provide both physical assessment (blood screening, health documentation, etc.) as well as education for all of the attendants.
  • These events were often either coordinated by a company for their employees or an insurance company for their beneficiaries.
  • There were also often events that were designated for any member of the public to use as a way to promote well-being and provide resources available in our community.

  • Both required constant interaction with customers, customer service-related phone calls, and occasional personal delivery of medications in the homes.
  • In the pharmacy, responsibilities included dispensing medications under the supervision of the head pharmacist.
  • In the store, responsibilities included welcoming guests and being able to help them with whatever may have brought them in, whether it be for sales of gifts, toys, or pharmaceutical needs.
