Summary
I have volunteered in shelters since I was 20, in various locations, and I have been with the Oregon Humane Society since 2018. I started out on a walking team, and one day I was in Sapphire, and a newer staff member was struggling to get a DUFR dog into a kennel. It was at that time that I decided I wanted to work toward gaining the skills needed so that I could step in anywhere there was a need. I was recognized in 2023 by the Oregon Humane Society as their recipient of the Agility Award. Today, my goal is to live that saying: 'Find a job you love, so you don't work a day for the rest of your life!'

- Qualified to work with Red Card, DUFR, and PC dogs.
- Teach the Kennel Buddies class to both Volunteers and Staff.
- Assist all Special Rescue and PC animals in the shelter through targeted training, with the goal of them becoming successful, healthy, and well-adjusted adoptive pets.
- Provide assistance to the Customer Care team by facilitating Kennel Buddy opportunities and assisting on the day of adoptions for PC and Special Rescue dogs.
