Farrell B. Howell is an ECE-8 school serving 590 students in Denver's Montbello neighborhood, with 85% Hispanic/Latino, 13% Black and 2% Native American/Pacific Islander students. Howell is a Title One school with 92% of students qualified for free/ reduced lunch.

Program Overview: ECE-2 Dual Language, 3rd-8th Bilingual Programming, K-5 Multi-Intensive Needs Center, middle school, dedicated ELD school-wide.

Continuous Improvement:

• Implemented content-like PLCs in which teachers collaborated to set goals and analyze student work for improved instruction.
• Re-established MTSS systems after pandemic disruptions.
• Facilitated weekly Data-Driven Instruction meetings so progress monitor student progress toward school and individual goals.

Safe and Welcoming Schools:

• Established a schoolwide PBIS systems to improve learning environments and student/teacher relationships.

Welby Community School is an ECE-6 school serving 300 students on the northern border for Denver with 70% Hispanic/Latino and 30% other races (mostly white). Welby is a Title One school with approximately 65% of students receiving free and reduced lunch.

Program Overview: EL Education Partner School, Inclusive Learning Center, ECE program.

• Partnered with principal to administer school program in alignment with vision and goals, providing positive, high-expectation academic environment.
• Supported a positive school culture by addressing student behavior concerns promptly and effectively.
• Enhanced teacher effectiveness through regular classroom observations and feedback sessions.

• Developed strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues by maintaining open lines of communication and fostering a supportive learning environment.
• Managed classroom behavior effectively by establishing clear expectations, modeling appropriate conduct, and consistently enforcing established rules and consequences.
