Summary

With 23 years of nursing experience at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, I have developed expertise in direct inpatient care, leadership responsibilities, and outpatient care. Throughout my career, I provided adult surgical care to diverse patient populations, including urology, oncology, plastic surgery, gynecological surgery, colorectal surgery, emergency general surgery, and post-liver transplants from 2001 to 2015. As a Clinical Staff Leader for 3 years on the Transplant and Surgical Care Unit, I focused on adult surgical care for fresh kidney and liver transplants, surgical weight loss procedures, end-stage liver disease (ESLD), end-stage renal disease (ESRD), and various acutely ill surgical and medical patients. I actively contributed to unit management, clinical practice development, and the implementation of patient care protocols. Currently, I serve as a liver transplant coordinator overseeing pre-transplant evaluations, phone triage, patient education, and waitlist management. In this role, I coordinate patient care across our multidisciplinary healthcare system.
