My job responsibilities include:

  • Greeting customers as they arrive.
  • Checking in guests, entering guests' information into the computer, and assigning rooms.
  • Billing guests and collecting deposits, including credit and debit card processing, cash transactions, vouchers, and third-party billings via credit card authorization forms.
  • Answering phones and transferring calls.
  • Making reservations and sending out confirmation letters to future guests by way of text, email, fax, or postal service.
  • Handling third-party reservations, i.e., Expedia, Trivago, etc.
  • Handling correspondence from financial institutions regarding chargebacks.
  • Resolving customer issues and complaints.
  • Ensuring all proper safety protocols are adhered to.
  • Checking that all safety equipment is functioning properly.
  • Calling police and/or medical aid personnel as needed.
  • Securing transportation, or providing turn-by-turn instructions to aid guests in reaching their destination with ease.
  • Recommending local restaurants, coffee shops, markets, stores, and entertainment venues for guests based on their individual needs.
  • Checking guests out.
  • Cleaning rooms and doing laundry.
  • Performing maintenance and/or repairs as needed for all equipment and furnishings associated with the hotel.
  • Maintaining and cleaning the landscaping, parking lot, and outside areas.
  • Ensuring that every guest has a safe, enjoyable, stress-free visit every time they visit our property.
  • Seeing that our name is the first hotel they think of when they return to the area or are recommending accommodations to others.
