My position as liturgy coordinator included helping the church to celebrate the liturgy properly as well as keeping the church environment worthy of liturgical worship. In addition, I was a key person in helping the pastor in his many duties both liturgical and administrative. I coordinated and scheduled the volunteers for all the liturgies and sent out weekly reminders. I was responsible for printing out the Prayers of the Faithful, before and after Mass announcements, volunteer sign-up sheet in sacristy, and sending out weekly readings for the readers. I helped with the cleaning of the sacristy, including the linens, altar cloth, polishing of candle followers, incense burner, and sacred vessels. Part of the weekly keeping a neat appearance of the church was taking care of plants, candles, candle holders, books in pews, brochures, bulletin boards, and CD kiosk. It was my job each week to collect money from the votive candle stands, cd kiosk, and book sales. Throughout the year, I was in charge of all decorating for changes in the liturgical seasons (i.e. Advent, Christmas, Ordinary Time, Lent, Easter, etc...).

Music Ministry - I play piano and sing. I am able to direct a choir and teach SATB parts. At St. Alice, I did maintain workable music equipment, schedule piano tuning, keep the music area organized, facilitate practices and assist musicians in any way needed.

Other responsibilities included the ordering of church supplies, books, pamphlets, and anything else needed by the pastor. I was happy to help with office duties as the need would arise.

My husband and I were married in 1990 and have five children. We started our first daughter at St. Francis School in Brainerd. After two years there, we made the decision to Catholic home school. Our children now range from 20-30 years old.

I was the bookkeeper for my husband's businesses. We used quickbooks for accounts receivable and payable.
