Dedicated and compassionate professional with a profound calling for helping others. Over the past five years, my self-employment journey equipped me with a strong work ethic, adaptability, and multitasking capabilities. I am well-versed in the importance of effective communication and problem-solving. The highlight of my experience lies in my 18-years as a homemaker, raising two sons. This role provided me with a deep understanding of child development, nurturing, and the challenges that families face. It also enhanced skills such as effective communication, conflict mediation, and providing emotional support to children and provided invaluable insights into child psychology. My hands-on experience in time management, crisis management, people and negotiation skills, and the continuous practice of emotional intelligence along with my empathetic nature uniquely position me to make a meaningful impact in the field of social work.
Over the past four years I have been self employed doing many different jobs. This type of employment has allowed me to be able to continue my education while still being a single mother of a teenage boy.
I have always known that I wanted to pursue a career in Social Work, however I choose to wait until my children were grown to pursue this passion. As a devoted stay-at-home mom, I navigated the delegate dynamics of child rearing, fostering an environment of love, growth, and emotional support for my two sons. This experience equipped me with a profound understanding of child development, hands on experience in conflict resolution, and instilled in me a deep compassion for the wellbeing of children. My tenure as a stay-at-home mom who interacted with children from many different backgrounds and home situations uniquely positions me to bring a wealth of empathy, insight, and practical understanding to the challenges faced by families.
