- Hired to help implement AWS infrastructure and best practices within the organization. Some example implementations include the following:
- Tested building basic AWS infrastructure using Serverless Framework for deployment. Used config files to parameterize things like VPC, subnet ID, region, PEM key name, instance type and AMI. Was able to build across multiple regions and different accounts by simply modifying parameters at the command prompt during the deploy step. All code was committed to my GitHub repository.
- Modified a CloudFormation template to build an AWS Transfer Family SFTP server. SFTP users were added using CloudFormation with reference to a public SSH key that was stored in Secrets Manager.
- Added CNAME record to a 3rd party web hosting service so a custom FTP endpoint could be used in Cyberduck instead of AWS’ generic DNS.
- Configured a secure FTP site to transfer files securely to my user directory in S3.
- Built and queried Athena tables over csv files in S3 using Glue.
