Wrote two pieces on contemporary student artists as a contribution to a larger course review; "Periphery on Paper: Harper Dawson-Glass and On The Edges" and "Dabbling with Creation: Ellis Horn and Echo Hotel". Served as one of the primary editors of the collection, working on essay proofreading and formatting.
‘The Divine Dance: A Kalighat Depiction of Krishna and Radha in 19th Century Kolkata (2024)
Argued that the Kalighat style paintings should be included within the canon of Indian modernism, specifically Bengali modernism, through the example of a romanticized religious portrait of Krishna and Radha. Continued my cross-cultural analysis of works of art from the Early Modern period.
‘The Architect: Panini’s “Modern Rome”’ (2024)
Researched Panini's large scale canvas, dissecting who the intended viewer of this enlarged political postcard from the 18th century was, as well as placing it within the larger socio-cultural context of the time.
‘Defying Gravity: Terracotta Amphora Attributed to the Berlin Painter’ (2023)
Contextualized the pottery piece within its original devotional purpose, while discovering its deep connection to the God Apollo and his cult at Delphi.
