Subject Matter Expert (SME) for training physicians, clinical staff, and support staff at MTFs on MHS GENESIS (Cerner) Acute functions and workflows. Qualifications and responsibilities noted below:

• Work with site leadership to identify and train super users/peer experts and clinical leaders to create a knowledgeable staff familiar with the MTF processes/requirements.
• Deliver workflow-based, role-based, and process-based EHR training using classroom, Over-the-Shoulder (OTS), web-based/virtual classroom, eLearning, and hands-on training methods.
• Provide training and implementation support to MTFs within the designated region/market as well as MTFs outside the designated region/market that need coverage to include Washington, Idaho, and Alaska.
• Maintain strong clinical knowledge of healthcare trends, policy, regulatory, and compliance issues.

Provides administrative support to clinical colleagues in the care of our Nation’s Veterans. Promoting and enabling the delivery of timely, accurate and accessible healthcare through care coordination, communicating between Veterans and other facility consult departments. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Works collaboratively with multiple large scale healthcare organizations interdisciplinary teams throughout the Pacific Northwest private sector and within the VA medical / dental outpatient clinics. Additional support provided to VA Health Administration Services and Call Centers.
• Develop/maintain effective and efficient communication with the patient, interdisciplinary team, management team, VA medical centers, and other agencies.

• Operational and strategic leadership over $40M annual revenues for 7 medical practices, 14 locations, 60 providers, 7 practice managers, and 235 employees.
• Project manager bringing 5 practices/clinics from grass field construction to fully operational.
• Executed rapid change management in response to COVID-19 successfully implementing telehealth, supply chain management solutions, and COVID response plans.

• Directly managed the accountability of work flow, performance and overall management and operations of three pediatric practices governing 44 CHKD employees consisting of 9 physicians, 2 NP’s, 17 LPN/MA’s, 13 PRT’s and 6 billing representatives.

Served 26 years in various positions of increased responsibility and complexity at worldwide locations, demonstrating exceptional leadership, knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:

• Independent Duty Corpsman/Healthcare Provider (Civilian Equivalent - Physician Assistant) As an Advanced Practice Practitioner, provided primary, emergency, and combat medicine to the service members assigned while underway and at Balboa Medical Center and Marine Corps Station Miramar Medical Clinic.
• Medical Senior Enlisted Leader/advisor to the Navy Reserve Force Surgeon (June 2012–March 2015) supervising 19 medical managers governing 9000 US Navy Active/Reserve Sailors to include 800 Navy Hospital Corpsman across the US, Puerto Rico and Guam.
• Managed $8M budget governing MEDHOLD, Reserve Health Readiness Program and Medical Department Representative training pipeline funds.
• Responsible for the execution of $31.9M PCS/TDI (travel) budget.
