Accomplishments
Participated in a nationwide TSA competition with 13 different airports to showcase officer screening knowledge in a 3 day competition where the top officers including officers, leads, supervisors and training experts of each airport perform everyday screening duties in a high stress environment in front of peers and high executives at TSA headquarters in Springfield, Va. Officers were expected to demonstrate their expertise of everyday duties to include Standard Operating Procedure knowledge, X-ray image interpretation, and Pat-down procedure while searching for hidden items on the participant. My team and I placed 2nd for the competition and I received a 2nd place award for my swift and accurate X-ray image interpretation earning a total cash award of $3000.
