Volunteer Emergency Medical Technician. Full- Duty EMT working on a volunteer basis within Middlesex County. Duties include Ambulance pre-shift checks, Medical Supply availability checks, Emergency Medical response, assessment, treatment and transportation and documentation. All EMT's in CT are required to complete 40 hours of continuing education to recertify every two years.

Full time Emergency Medical Technician Certified in CT, number 021255 Responding to calls for Emergency Medical Services as part of a two person crew. Duties included beginning-of-shift Safety and and medical equipment inspections, responding to 911 calls for aid, as well as police emergency evaluation. As an EMT applicant was responsible for full scene size up, patient assessment and treatment in accordance with state protocol, patient packaging and Emergency Department destination decisions, ambulance operations, team coordination with other EMS, Police, and Fire personnel as well as thorough documentation of every patient interaction, and operational task. Also provided Mutual aid assistance to surrounding towns, Chester, East Hampton, Lyme, Salem, Haddam, Haddam Neck, Durham, and Killingworth. and Cholchester (CT). Resigned for personal reasons that include a career transition to manufacturing.

Safely operate company vehicle completing scheduled pickups and drop offs for clients being transported in a wheelchair, often to and from a medical facility. Duties included pre-shift safety checks of the vehicle and specialized equipment. Navigating traffic and making scheduled client pickups and drop offs. Often, but not always, escorting a client beyond the roadside and into an appointment, when help was required.
