Being a Farm Laborer, required early hours, and endurance in the sun. From 7:00am to Noon, Monday through Friday, Work on the farm consisted of debris and windbreak cleanup, equipment and irrigation maintenance, transplanting of trees, and moving an abundance of dirt, along with many other tasks. Tools on the farm were very limited, forcing us to use the tools in creative ways to get the job done. I took away many skills from this job including; Equipment manegment, teamwork, endurance, problem solving skills, Etc.
Dedicated to both theatre and Musical theater, I have auditioned and received a role in every possible production during my time at Severance High School. These roles include; The Tinman: Wizard of Oz, Maurice: Beauty and the Beast, Delacey: Frankenstein, and Joseph: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Each one of these roles has pushed me, teach and improve memorization and improvisational skills. Being in a cast requires and sharpens communication and teamworking skills to execute a tightly knit scene. On each of these productions, I have assumed other tech roles, like set construction and lighting design. During shows, the ability to work under pressure without breaking character is required. These skills translate well into a professional setting, as both constantly require high standards.
