In February I was moved out to a bigger project called Long Range Hypersonic Weapons. During this time I was taught multiple skills such as installing/building the hydraulic system, drilling and bolting stabilizers, mounting the rack’s hydraulic cylinders, and part marking/stenciling the trailers. My responsibilities were to load rolls of work onto the cross cut machine. The rugs were fed by an automatic feed that I would either measure cut into specific sizes or the rugs were bordered rugs with cut lines. I would stack the rugs onto boards to be sent to production serge operators. It was my job to make accurate cuts and notify my lead if there were any issues with out of square or other defects found before sending the rugs to the serge operators. I then transferred to a Certified fork lift driver. My responsibilities were to pick rolls or pallets of work up with the lift and carry them to their designated locations. It was my responsibility to keep the production department lines set up with work at all times during my shift. I also would take finished goods into the storage area of our Greige goods racks. I also put away rolls of product to be stored until it was time to process them for shipment. I then transferred to the Receiving Clerk job. My responsibilities were to receive incoming packages and materials. Invoice check that each item was received in good order and as stated with the correct amount on each invoice. Then it was my responsibility to deliver each package or material to either the person or department it was specifically intended for or in the storage for that department.
