I am just that type of person who what s to learn more, I am hard working i say on task and i like to resolve issues that arise, i try to find the most logical and cheapest way to fix a problem that comes up. I am a good listener , i give 110% and i want to do more and try and make things better then what they are when i arrive. I get all this work mentality from growing up on a farm all my life
In this role I help build loads and send off to the current 3PL to have them cover the loads and schedule the appointments to have trucks here to load product. I would also do forward to bill which is ran out of G2 so that way the Invoicing department could bill the customer after the product has been loaded on to a truck and is on its way to the customer. I also learned the International Air and Ocean side of the business and in getting the correct documentation ready for the Ocean freight side, which intells getting the right machines info on the BOLs and any Hazmat paperwork if needed. I also completed the Hazmat Training to become certified to be able to know and do this as requested. This job i would be at a computer 80-90 percent of the day working in spread sheets, G2 and answering emails from Dealers and or within the company having to deal with anything from a logistics side of things, There would be times i would have to find the best solution for things when things don't work out correctly.
In this job I help load trucks with machines that are ship ready from other plants. I use a forklift daily. While in this job I was also given the opportunity to go more in shipping and getting to be able to back up the logistics analysis person. This opportunity involved putting machines on a load to be booked thru an 3rd party distributor. In this job I worked in many spreadsheets at one time, answer dealer calls and e-mails when they had a question or concern about their product that the have ordered. I was also able to work in sql developer and also in Glovia (G2). With my experience from being out at the docks loading and in the backup role of building loads gives me the experience to make some calls on the go if there are issues at the docks with machines. This is where if there was an issue I could go in to G2 and get whatever info needed and then be able to go to the dealers open orders and see if there is something that just got completed recently that I would be able to load and make a full load. I feel very comfortable doing this back up till with my experience as a buyer. Just like I did as a buyer I try to have a cost mind set in getting things to where they need to go or things that need to be brought back.
In this job title I was able to keep track of inventory of machines and tires and belts that were used in making balers rakes and other farm equipment. In this job I was able to let the line manager and area manger know right where machines were or what was on hand for inventory of tires or belts. I did my best to let certain managers know when we were about to run out of items so they could figure out what they were able to run or what not to run.
In this position I did pretty much the same thing as in the inventory coordinator
In this job I had multiple duties. I was in charge of ordering all the parts that went into building multiple different types of windows ordering paint for the paint lines ordering wood for the LTL / quick ship department. I also would back up the person that was buying the vinyl and steel that is needed for building the frame of the window. In this position I dealt with over 75 different vendors. I had to communicate when shipment of parts were gonna be in so the lines could run efficiently. If there was going to be an issues with shipments being late it was my responsibility to get with the Plant manager and the general manager and the scheduler to make a plan to work thru the shortage. While in this job I was also the lead in inventory control, where I would watch future schedules so I knew what to order or what I already had ordered to maybe not ship to the plant right away. One of my biggest success while in this was cutting the inventory of balances down from 1 months supply on hand down to a 2 week supply on hand where we able to run efficiently but keep the total cost on hand low. I worked in multiple spreadsheets at time with the computer system Titan which was a program the let us know what was on hand what was being ordered and what a particular order was going or when it needed done by.
This position I lead a team of 5 people where we would get run schedules daily and make custom window units. These consist of circles trapezoid octagon. We would use saws to cut the materials and welders to fuse them together and make sure they came out to the correct measurements for the rough opening to the customers orders. Then we would put glass in them and final them up before shipping them to the shipping department. In this department I used computer software called titan and also worked in an auto cad program. I would also fill in on the Glass line when the current group leader was gone managing 20-25 people making sure everyone stayed on task and was full filling their jobs.
This job I did various job titles. I would work on the lines producing the panes of glass to go in the frames of windows. I would also fill in as a lead when the lead was gone and oversee a group of 15-30 people in making sure everyone stayed on task and machines kept running and if there was issues I got a hold of the maintenance team to have them come look and fix the issues. Had to work on a computer in excel spreadsheets and in the computer system called Titan
