- At Per Mar Security, I worked at the Eau Claire Transit bus station as well as Banbury Place.
- At the Transit station, I monitored bus passenger movement to and from their destinations and maintained order at the station.
- Banbury Place consisted of electronic monitoring of locked doors, and making rounds of the compound to ensure safety and security for the grounds as well as the tenants who lived in the Banbury Place Apartments.

- At Redgranite Correctional Institution (RGCI), I worked in a housing unit on 3rd shift to begin my Corrections career.
- I learned a lot in the short time at RGCI, mainly from my 3rd shift sergeant who had 13 years of experience at that time. (Sgt. Aaron Murphy)
- My job duties included but were not limited to, managing offenders in their living area and administering routine, random urinalysis screenings.
- And of course, helping to maintain the safety and security of the institution and the public as well.

- After transferring to Stanley Correctional Institution (SCI), I worked for approximately 3 months as a utility officer which gave me a better understanding of the institution and the jobs within.
- In February of 2008, I was slotted as a housing unit officer for Unit 1-C, which was the intake unit at that time.
- On the intake unit, I worked with offenders who were new to SCI, and helped orientate them to the policies and procedures of SCI.
- Also participated in the management of 1-C's general inmate population and worked to maintain safety and security within the institution, as well as for the general public.
- In 2010, 1-C wing switched from the intake unit into a clinical/special needs wing.
- I worked with many inmates who had trouble existing and/or coping with the GP (general population).
- Inmates with special medical requirements, and inmates who were too aggressive to be with our more mentally challenged population (1-B), but still fit the definition of a special needs/clinical inmate.
- In 2012, I accepted a position in the schooling/education building at SCI.
- Here I made vigilant rounds, to make sure inmates were acting according to school rules and policies while attending Windy Meadows School.
- Also, to ensure safety and security for our many non-uniformed staff whom worked within the school building.
- I checked sign-in sheets, and monitored library patron inmates as well while working in this area.
- I also checked doors, and made rounds throughout the day to make sure the security of the building was not compromised.

- Accepted a contractual transfer from Stanley Correctional to Chippewa Valley Correctional Treatment Facility.
- Finally getting to a minimum-security prison was a huge accomplishment for myself after 8 years of medium security institution work.
- At CVCTF, I worked 2nd shift, (2-10pm) for the first few months, and then became full time 3rd shift in October of 2014.
- My job duties included but were not limited to, conducting routine/random area searches, urinalysis screenings of offenders, checking doors, watching inmate movement, and making rounds of the institution to ensure the safety and security of the institution at all times.
- Currently I am the 1st shift Officer (6am-2pm), in the Main Kitchen at CVCTF.
- I work in close proximity with Residents in our care on a daily basis in the Kitchen area of the Institution.
- CVCTF, for short, is a minimum security, fenced Correctional Institution. CVCTF's main focus is the treatment and rehabilitation of drug offenders through AODA programming and other programming modules such as the Earned Release Program.
