I collected a large dataset of credit card transactions, including both legitimate and fraudulent ones. I preprocessed the data to handle missing values, scale features, and encode categorical variables. I split the data into training and testing sets. For the machine learning model, I chose an ensemble approach, combining algorithms such as Random Forest and Gradient Boosting. I trained the model on the training data, tuning hyperparameters to optimize performance and prevent overfitting. Additionally, I used techniques like cross-validation to ensure the model's generalizability. The credit card fraud detection program significantly improved the security of credit card transactions for our customers. By analyzing transaction patterns and identifying anomalies, the program successfully detected and prevented fraudulent transactions in real-time. This not only protected our customers from financial losses but also enhanced their trust in our services.
