- We welcome participants to use the center as a safe space to get out of the weather, take a shower, do laundry, grab a snack to eat, and connect with available community resources.
- My responsibility is to ensure that all newcomers complete the initial contact paperwork.
- If a newcomer chooses to be paired with a Peer Recovery Specialist, they then complete the intake paperwork and are assigned to their Peer. Once the individual becomes a participant, we work together to determine how often to meet, as well as the best days and times. Together, we complete all documents required by the state.
- If the participant is seeking treatment, we assist by contacting the treatment center to complete their intake process, discuss admission details, and arrange transportation to the facility when they are accepted.
- Provided one-on-one support and guidance to individuals in recovery from substance abuse, helping them navigate challenges and develop coping strategies
- Collaborated with treatment teams to develop individualized recovery plans for clients, incorporating evidence-based practices and client goals
