Commander of Research, Planning, and Accreditation. As an upper-management position the incumbent oversees the overall management, operation and administration of a division. Manages and supervises personnel. Works independently; interprets and develops application of guidelines; under general supervision of an Assistant Chief Deputy Sheriff provides highly responsible and complex administrative support. Coordinates assigned activities with other county departments, divisions and outside agencies.

A mid-management administrative position with responsibility for planning, directing, and coordinating the activities of staff responsible for various sections with the Sheriff's Office, to include a regional patrol station and crisis intervention team.

A first-line supervisor for personnel assigned to their work group or area of responsibility. Supervised field, investigative, and administrative operations. In addition, responsible to ensure all civil and criminal process is executed according to the law.

Under general supervision, conducts investigations, enforces laws, maintains order, prevents crime, makes arrests, and does related duties to accomplish the mission, goals and objectives of the office in compliance with governing local, state and federal.

Assigned to the Major Crimes Unit, where responsibility was to investigate violent crimes, including homicides and sexually related crimes.

Under general supervision, conducts investigations, enforces laws, maintains order, prevents crime, makes arrests, and does related duties to accomplish the mission, goals and objectives of the office in compliance with governing local, state and federal.

Responds to calls for service, assistance on foot, or assigned vehicle.

Prepares misdemeanor and felony cases for proper actions.

Credibly testifies in court.

Under regular supervision, completes duties in accordance with the mission, goals and objectives of the El Paso County Sheriff's Office and in compliance with governing federal, state and local laws.

Supervises inmates ensuring they are secure and treated fairly while awaiting the judicial process of El Paso County, Texas.
