- Responsible for monitoring water intake from river to the plant including but not limited to: monitoring PH levels, levels of Calcium and Magnesium, Alkalinity tests, Chlorine levels, dissolved polymers and flocculants systems. Also responsible for monitoring the pumps, checking flow rate and flow distribution and conducting routine pump maintenance.
- Inventory management of chemicals used in process.
- Area management includes locking out and tagging high value equipment for local use or, if necessary, with lockbox depending on the job. In charge of isolating equipment, de-energizing and and printing lock out tag out sheets, making sure tag out sheets are filled in fully and correctly for locked equipment. Performing duties as mid-manager to assess if further action is needed on maintenance request (e.g. calling in a millwright or electrician).
- Manage a four person crew loading and unloading rail cars and trailers. Maintain scheduling on incoming and outgoing freight/loads.
