
Food manufacturing career,
I have spent 8 + years at Campbells Soup in Marshall, Mi working in the soup industry in numerous roles. My career then took me to Post Holdings in 2011 to present. I am currently working with Safety since Oct, 2023 helping out with Safety Tech aspect of the department. I'm currently bid in 17 building A5 (11-7). I am looking forward to learning things in the company.
A5 Process/ 17 Building/ 11-7.
As an A5 Operator I am responsible for several aspects of the process. Making sure all parts of the process meet specifications to align with nutritional values on package. I am also responsible for belt, metal and scale checks, sanitation, ect.
As a Rotomat Operator i am basically operating between 8-24 large pressure cookers producing soup at the proper specs. The different types of soups require different cook times but all must reach 262 degrees to eliminate bacteria. I was also responsible for loading and unloading carts in Rotomats, as well as keeping track of charts (paperwork), during process. This department was required to work with USDA on a daily basis.
I have been working in the food manufacturing industry for 22 years since September 2002, gaining valuable experience in many different situations I feel through experience i understand how the industry works I feel i have a good working relationship with both management and my fellow union workers I have learned many things about Safety side of the business in the last 7 months
