I was working as a civilian with other non incarcerated individuals in a metal fabrication plant. I was in charge of overseeing the final approval on all major assembled p[ieces including welding length depth and accuracy as well as any thing that might not be right according to the blueprint for each and every item we sent out.
I was whats called a "porter" for my Unit Team Manager while incarcerated. A rare, honored position including many offices and functions, the biggest being able to be a go between for Administration and other inmates to reach solutions on many various issues, along with cleaning, stocking supplies, delivering bought property and making sure inventory on it all was correct and not stolen...etc.
Was on a supply line sealing and fast assembly packaging pet products for final issue before shipping.
I was a furniture manufacturer in a furniture plant that built from the mill to finish. I received freshly cut wood prints and assembled them, then the upholstery with a CO2 nail gun. Many different blueprints correlating with many different numbers gave me the knowledge on how and what to do before sending on.
I've had many other jobs and respected duties during my 17 year incarceration for non-violent drug crimes. I;ve just listed the most current ones as prevalent as I do not have too much real life job experience.
I've learned how to AUTOCAD while incarcerated as well as read many different types of blueprints. Im learning computer coding and technological problem solving and solution based training in IT tech development currently. I also am OSHA approved and have basic training in OSHA protocol, and I am currently looking to complete college or tech school for computer IT tech certifications.
