I've been a lifeguard since I was a sophomore in high school and have loved every second of it, even during times of high stress or urgency. Not only do I love getting to swim and build relationships with my crew members, but I've found that I also love being someone people can put their trust in. Over the years, even people who have never met me before have been able to put their safety, and their family's, in my hands, and I take pride in my skills to be able to uphold that trust with diligence, kindness, and swiftness. While I do love being friendly to the patrons, I also know when a more stern approach needs to be taken to avoid danger or harm, and my number one priority is safety. I am CPR and First Aid certified, have been a reliable worker not only for my team, but for the people counting on me, and will always strive to make sure that those who need my help will always be able to get it. Outside of my career I've also been a basketball manager in the past and took immense pride in my ability to take care of the injured players on my team. I wrapped lots of ankles in the past, and even though that does not amount to the kind of work I am hoping to do in the future, I do think that is a good place to start. I loved being able to take care of others around me, and hope to continue learning how to do it so that I can be the best form of care and comfort that I am able to be.
