Leadership Experience

Strong leadership to be able to control the classroom and coordinate issues with student discipline. There are many occasions where I am the only teacher in the classroom. I have trained teacher assistants. Guiding and encouraging an assistant to be independent is important for a strong classroom environment. This is also important for an assistant's personal growth and career advancement.

Communication Skills

Through years of working with my Supervisors and Head Teachers, I have gained the ability to effectively educate students and to communicate with parents in order to meet student needs. Teacher to student communication is very important. One of my greatest assets is understanding the importance of allowing students to express themselves. They must be given the opportunity to show they feel and know that they are being heard and understood.
