I have felt called to ministry since I was a child. I have a background that includes being raised in both a Mennonite community and in a Lutheran Church. For the last decade, I have felt called to full time ministry. I graduated from the Academy for Vocational Leadership of The Episcopal Diocese of the Great Lakes in June 2025. I have felt a strong call from the Spirit to work with young adults, specifically in campus ministry. I live in Mount Pleasant, Mi which is home to Central Michigan University. I am within an hour's drive to Saginaw Valley State University, Michigan State University, Ferris State University, Alma College, Northwoods University, and Delta College. I have teenagers and my home has become the place for their friends. Through my relationships with them, specifically our conversations about life and religion, I have found a love for reaching that age group. Older teens and young adults are hungry for experiences and opportunities to explore life and religion in community with others and I feel well equipped and called to be able to provide and guide these opportunities. I have also homeschooled my children and have created almost all of the curriculum that we have used over the years, including for my high schoolers.
