Responsibilities

• Responsible for building test automation framework for consumer products team using Cypress.
• Run tech talks about testing process to engage more engineers to write and maintain tests targeting high quality releases, which helps reduce production crisis management time.
• Coordinate Cypress configuration and continuous integration (with Jenkins and CircleCI) across company and set up end-to-end testing strategies.
• Develop test data generator and obfuscator to create representative test database from production data.
• Research and implement practical code coverage into DevOps to assist team in keeping code quality from degrading.

Achievements

• Delivered lowest production level incidents in company by catching more bugs before deployment and bringing down change failure rate to 5.6% from 37% with at least 4 releases per week.
• Built new test database for engineering department to fit HIPAA compliant requirements: complete data encryption and data minimization.

Responsibilities

• Wrote automated functional and regression test scripts using Selenium WebDriver (Java/JUnit) for website Account Registration System and Account Management (700+ cases).
• Built new framework for automated test cases using Selenium due to outdated (approx. 7 years old) existing test cases not being able to accommodate current products.
• Conducted performance testing for new development projects by executing test plans and coordinating with developers to ensure on-time software releases.

• Decreased automated test case failure percentage from 40% to 10%.
