- During a call for service for a domestic disturbance, I arrived at the location minutes prior to a back up officer. Once at the front door, I heard a female voice screaming for help inside. I immediately breached the locked door by kicking it in to gain entry. During this time, I discovered a male suspect actively choking a female victim from behind. The suspect released the victim and was given verbal commands at gun point to lay on the ground and place his hands behind his back. As the female walked towards me away from the male, I saw her face to be battered and bloody from an assault. The male became noncompliant by attempting to stand up and ignoring verbal commands, prompting me to enter the residence and place him in custody without further incident prior to additional units arriving on scene.
