- Developed automation, training procedures, and commissioning procedures for an electric servomotor choke for Managed Pressure Drilling application. The control design included a 1500 Series Siemens PLC and Siemens S120 Drive System. This project was successfully commissioned and delivered to Var Energy in Norway for the Ringhorne Project in Q4 2020.
- Developed automation of well control chokes to maintain constant standpipe pressure as required when circulating using driller's method. This application was successfully commissioned on the Scarecrow Wildcat well for Spirit Energy in Q2 of 2018. This application required a creative solution given the propagation delay from the primary measured variable to the PLC was approximately 2-3 seconds. - Managed the integration design between Omron Precise Drilling System and Schlumberger MPD Control System. Integration was accomplished by utilizing an OPC UA connection between the two PLCs to make tags available for use by the Omron PLC and HMI. This integration allowed MPD to be a featured component of the Omron Drilling System.
