Serving as the lead HVAC technician onboard US Naval Ships. Owned, operated and maintained seven 300 ton York chiller type centrifugal air conditioning units and sub systems. Conducted major repairs to include compressor mechanical seal overhaul, bladder accumulator replacement and condenser tube replacement. In addition to all preventative and repair maintenance, all testing requirements were conducted in accordance with strict adherence to technical documentation to include the transfer of over 27,000LBS of refrigerant with zero mishaps. Also made time sensitive repairs to four chillwater pump replacing pump shafts, impellers and mechanical seal.

Owned, operated and maintained three 3.5 ton Carrier reciprocating refrigeration systems. Conducted compressor overhauls, thermal expansion valve replacements, filter dryer change outs and internal oil filter replacements. Conducted mission critical overhauls to three unit cooler and failed condenser relief valves ensuring cold food storage was operating at 100% capacity.

Selected to fill a critical HVAC billet in Bahrain to conduct major repairs to ships chillwater pumps and the repairs of three mobile air conditioning units for US Special Forces to ensure 100% deployability.

Owned and maintained scheduling system for all preventative and repair maintenance items for all systems encompassing over 1,200 material checks. Maintained accurate records of equipment status, equipment parameter logs, spare parts inventory to facilitate accurate tracking and management of assigned systems. Maintained accurate forecasting reports for parts and materials to have readily available as needed. Experience in Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) handling ensuring 100% compliance with safety regulations and within inspection requirements. Routinely conducted mechanical and electrical troubleshooting strategies to keep equipment at 100% operability.

Oversaw and coordinated preventative and corrective maintenance activities for USS Halsey, USS Chunghoon and USS John Paul Jones fulfilling a critical position normally reserved for higher-ranking personnel; ensured optimal operational readiness and mission success. Planned and executed 7 maintenance phases tracking 205 intermediate and depot level work packages aboard each ship while managing a material budget of $1.2K; achieving on-time completion without discrepancies. Coordinated the procurement and delivery of necessary materials, spare parts and equipment required for maintenance and repairs to ensure 100% equipment availability. Assessed ship's overall readiness and operational status while identifying areas that require attention; implemented necessary corrective actions to ensure mission readiness. Enforced safety protocols and practices to prevent accidents and inquiries during maintenance operations and thorough inspections; resulted in zero accidents during supervision.
