I (Jessi Ponce) attended Houston Community College were I completed the Basic Peace Officer Course to earn my Texas Commission of Law Enforcement License. I graduated from Sam Rayburn High School in 2014 and attended college at University of Houston before going to work at Academy Sports and Outdoors.
My passion for Law Enforcement did not come into mind until I was working at 3E NDT, where I completed a series of job assessment test which all resulted for me to find a career as a first responder. I took advantage of those results and through my career I met a coworker, who paved the way for me to meet with Chief Stewart Russel with the Pasadena ISD Police Department.
I was fortunate to make a memory impact in my oral board to where they took a chance on me and sponsor my way through the Police Academy.
I have now been a Peace Officer for over 4 years and I love the impact it allows me to bring, through the hard time and good times in this field.
I have also completed my Intermediate Peace Officer requirements and is still in the process to achieve my Advance and Masters through my career.
