• Perform comprehensive assessments in the Emergency Department, Trauma Bay, ICU, and
inpatient units, determining patient needs and developing timely treatment plans.
• Coordinate care with trauma surgeons, intensivists, emergency physicians, nursing, and
ancillary teams in fast-paced, time-sensitive clinical environments.
• Lead patient and family education on diagnoses, procedures, treatment plans, and follow-up needs.
• Participate in goals-of-care and end-of-life conversations to support patient-centered decision-making.
• Provide outpatient follow-up for Trauma and Acute Care Surgery patients to ensure continuity of care.

• Conduct postoperative follow-up evaluations for high-volume General Surgery clinics, managing 12–15 patients per half-day, including Breast Surgery and Colorectal Surgery.
• Collaborate with physicians to adjust care plans, facilitate readmissions when required, and coordinate cross-specialty follow-up (Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology).
• Review and explain pathology results, treatment options, and preventative care strategies to optimize patient understanding and outcomes.
