Perform ultrasound imaging, such as transthoracic echocardiograms, stress echo, dobutamine stress echo, definity echo, lower arterial, lower venous, endovenous laser treatment, abdominal aorta ultrasound imaging efficiently and effectively.

Thoroughly explain procedure to patient and answer any questions they may have.

Ensure patients are comfortably positioned and understand the procedure being performed.

Evaluate images during and after test for quality diagnostics.

Accurately and efficiently create and maintained all necessary reports and findings to physicians.

Responsible for transferring images to echopac. Make sure all studies have been read with accurate final report printed for chart.

Assist with equipment maintenance.

Follow all guidelines and protocols to maintain compliance with IAC accreditation.

Obtain orders and correct diagnosis for ultrasounds and I am responsible for entering all charges.

I also preform general office duties within our clinic including answering phones,scheduling test, confirming appointments, helping patients with questions, assisting our nurse with any other issues they may have that need to be addressed with our physicians.

Performing echocardiograms, carotids, stress echo, gxt, gxt cardiolite, hooking up holter monitors. Typed my own dictation and put in chart. Called and confirmed my patients the day before test. This was a very busy practice and I covered two locations in this practice.

Reason for leaving: Relocated to Mississippi.

Worked as a traveling cardiac sonographer that included three hospitals: Our Lady Of The Lake, Baton Rouge General, Baton Rouge Health Center. Two Cardiology practices: LA Cardiology and Baton Rouge Cardiology.

Performed echo, stress echo ,TEE, dobutamine stress echo, and assisted with TEE during surgeries.

Reason for leaving: I was called by my next employer and offered a job in Florida for increased pay and better benefits.

Cardiac sonographer: cardiac imaging in an inpatient and outpatient setting.

Transthoracic, transesophageal echocardiography, intra-op TEE, assisting in pericardiocentesis, evaluating heart transplant and LVAD implants.

Training cardiology fellows and LSU students in echocardiography.

Special training: Medtronic insync-ICD clinical study evaluating cardiac resynchronization therapy for heart failure patients with ICD to determine weather multi site ventricular pacing inpatients with CHF improved ventricular geometry and function as measured by quantitative doppler.

Additional responsibilities : Hook up holter monitors, perform EKGS, enter charges, obtain orders and diagnosis for procedures.

Reason for leaving: Souther Medical, the ultrasound school I attended called and offered me a job for increased salary and benefits.
