TEACHING EXPERIENCE

  • METHODS/STUDENT TEACHING, WILLIS HIGH SCHOOL — FALL 2021

Acquired vital experience necessary for the classroom by preparing lessons, assisting students, and observing teaching methods. Gained effective communication, time management, adaptability, professionalism, and organization skills.

  • GEORGE RANCH HS — 2022

Taught World History and Color Guard. I was responsible for six on-grade-level history classes, mainly containing sophomore-level students. Three of those classes were inclusion with a co-teaching model, and students who needed inclusion and 504 services. After school, I was responsible for the color guard program, which required me to maintain parent communication, lesson plans, design implementation, and choreography for the competitive marching show and winter guard programs.

CHURCH VOLUNTEER WORK & MINISTRY EXPERIENCE

  • BIG HOUSE and U.M. A.R.M.Y., Mission Work, I spent one year as a kitchen assistant for Big House. At U.M. A.R.M.Y., I participated for two years in high school, then served as the college programs team assistant for one year, programs director for four years, and work team adult for one year. This camp taught me how to plan for faith-filled worship and fun, lead community repair skills, and lead youth through devotionals and teamwork.

  • Sunday School Teacher, I taught age-appropriate lessons following the CTUMC curriculum to engage children and youth in learning about Jesus.

  • Nursery Worker, I cared for newborns to age five, following CTUMC childcare standards. I have experience in parent communication, appropriate-age crafts, lessons, playtime, and structure. I am Safe Sanctuary Trained.

  • Trustees, I served on the committee responsible for the upkeep of the church and aided in the organization, distribution, and collection of building keys.

  • Choir Member, I have been a church choir member since my junior year of high school. I attend rehearsals and sing at traditional services, weddings, funerals, and special holidays. I have also served as a backup conductor when the music director is out.

  • Cypress Trails College Youth Ministry, After seeing the need for ministry and discipleship for college-age members, I founded the college ministry during Pastor George’s era. I communicated with members, planned the Bible study, and organized outings. We also got the college group to minister to the high school group.

  • Cypress Trails/SCC Youth Ministry, I volunteered with the high school youth group during college. I assisted with group discussions and, once old enough, served as a driver for events outside the church. In Fall 2024, I served as interim youth director for three months and planned lessons and events to support church staff and enrich the students. I am confident in teaching classes, bible studies, coordinating off-site activities, and overnight trips

  • Vacation Bible School, I have volunteered many summers for Vacation Bible School. In college, I served on the decorations committee and taught the music portion for multiple years. I have been the Co-Director for VBS’s 2023, 2024, and 2025 summers. As co-director, the bulk of my work is in the pre-planning of the event. I created the graphics for check-in and the lunch tables, handled the logistical aspects of registration and staff assignments, and assisted the director. I have also worked on the opening skit for the assembly as a main character.

  • Worship Leader/Praise Team, Selected appropriate music literature to sing at services in early years. Currently, I am a soloist and leader for the Contemporary Service. I also teach parts and lead praise team rehearsals when the music director is out.

  • Worship Innovation Team, This committee existed in previous years, but I was asked to update it and take the lead in 2023. My responsibilities are to prepare the meeting agenda, take notes, and coordinate the other worship team members as we plan and prepare each season of worship. We handle service aesthetics, music, logistics, and visual/audio media.

  • SCC Administrative Board/Board Chair, I was nominated to the Ad-Board in January of 2024. One year later, in January 2025, I was elected as Ad-Board Chair. My responsibilities are to prepare the meeting agenda, take notes, and lead the administrative board and SPRC Committees to make decisions that best uphold the values and support the mission of Spring Community Church.
