Serve as the primary liaison between the command and the officers, sailors, and their families, addressing all matters pertaining to deployment, including inquiries, challenges, and concerns. As a health promotion officer, I advocated for the units to designate an HPO to assist in the dissemination of information and promote physical wellness among our mariners and communities. Assisting in the development of health promotion awareness power points for dissemination within the units, generating health awareness of programs that are prevalent in communities and neighborhoods, and producing and disseminating health and wellness literature were among the duties associated with this position.
I supported the Health Promotion Officer in the creation of educational materials, including PowerPoint presentations, for distribution to all command units. These materials served to inform the public about programs aimed at promoting health and disease prevention, as well as enhancing their understanding of the services offered by the Health Department. Establishes and coordinates partnerships with HPOs of command units in order to pique mariners' interest in advancing and promoting their own health.
