I have dedicate my adult life to helping others. My family is the most important thing in my life. My first child was born with many health issues that will be a life long concern. This caused me to reevaluate how to spend my time professionally. I stayed home for the first four years of his life offering in home child care for family and friends. Over time, I was ready to reinter the work place. I found a way to use my skills of reflexology to create a business in which I could work around my families needs and help others to feel their best. I worked in a salon doing reflexology. I loved being there and getting to connect with people. I worked hard and even picked up additional duties over the years. I began to keep the salon books and give monthly reports, manage marketing, and oversee seasonal decorative setups. This led to the opportunity for me to buy the salon in which I had been working. My husband and I bought the salon and managed it successfully for over two years during the difficulties of Covid. The business we had built grew to the point we could no longer operate in our current location. Some of our operators found an opportunity to expand to a new location. Even though I was no longer the owner of their salon they asked if I would stay on as a valued team member. This new opportunity allowed me to chase a dream of mine. I saw a need for a small venue center in my hometown of Okemah. We opened and stayed fully booked for the majority of the year. At the height of our business we made the decision to sell. I have continued to operate my reflexology business throughout the years. I have a deep connection to my clients. I feel that my years of operating businesses dealing with the public has taught me to how to work through difficult situations to bring conflict resolution.
