Special Assignment to work as part of a team of nurses that provides 24 hour care to a homebound young woman with Ohtahara Syndrome. Duties include management of seizure activity, continual respiratory assessment and aspiration precautions.

Maternal-Child / Women's Health Team. Case managed up to 30 pt's. Identified and initiated appropriate services. Collected and documented pt. needs. Coordinated with multidisciplinary team to ensure effective delivery of care.

Maternal Child Health / Labor and Delivery / Pediatric

Member of multi-disciplinary team providing care across the continuum of labor, delivery and postpartum. Educated individuals and families on topics of health education and disease prevention.

Behavioral Services

Provided mental health services to individuals in an acute paychiatric setting. Established therapeutic relationships, encompassing mutual respect, clear boundaries and genuine support. Facilitated education classes including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and medication management. Maintained milieu with intensified presence and preparation for unpredictable and difficult behavior.
