Shadowed one Registered Nurse for 90-hours in order to complete requirements to graduate. Precepting requirements included progressing from shadowing to being shadowed by the RN, essentially becoming the primary nurse for both Labor and Delivery and Mother Baby Care. Assisted OB with delivery, admitted patients, cared for patients during the labor process, learned and charted the Fetal Heart Monitoring system, using critical thinking to assess heart monitor strips, assisted with other RN's with their patients.
